Policy
How Stadium Dental collects, uses, and protects your personal and dental health information — written in plain language and aligned with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act.
- 01 ·
Information we collect
Stadium Dental collects personal and dental health information necessary to provide quality dental care. This includes contact details, dental and medical history, treatment records, insurance information, billing details, and the consent forms you sign before each procedure.
Some information is also collected automatically when you use stadiumdental.ca, including device type, browser, IP address, and basic page-view analytics. This data helps us understand how the website is used and improve the experience.

How we use your information
Your dental records are used to plan, deliver, and document the care you receive at Stadium Dental. Insurance information is used to direct-bill your carrier and to provide receipts for reimbursement.
Stadium Dental does not sell, rent, or trade your personal or health information. We may contact you with appointment reminders, follow-up care instructions, and occasional clinic updates — you can unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time.
- 03 ·
Disclosure to third parties
We share your information only with parties involved in your care or required for billing — for example, dental laboratories handling your impressions, specialists you are referred to, and the insurance carrier you have authorised us to bill.
Stadium Dental complies with the Alberta Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and any applicable Alberta Health Information Act (HIA) provisions. We disclose information to public authorities only where required by law.
- 04 ·
Data security
Patient charts are stored on encrypted dental practice-management software inside a secured local network. Paper records, where they exist, are stored in locked filing cabinets accessible only to authorised staff.
Online forms are submitted over HTTPS. We restrict access to personal information to employees who need it to do their job and require staff to follow strict confidentiality and password-hygiene protocols.

Your rights
You may request access to your dental record, ask to correct inaccurate information, or withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time. Contact our Privacy Officer through the front desk or by phone at 780-752-2242.
If you have a concern about how Stadium Dental handles your information that we are unable to resolve, you may also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
