Porcelain crowns rebuild a weakened tooth; bridges replace a missing tooth using the neighbouring teeth as anchors. Both look natural and last decades.
About
Crowns & Bridges
Crowns and bridges are the workhorses of restorative dentistry. At Stadium Dental we use full-contour zirconia or layered porcelain depending on the location and aesthetics needed.
A crown covers the entire visible tooth, restoring its full strength and shape. Common reasons: a large old filling that's failing, a cracked tooth, a tooth treated with a root canal, or a tooth with significant decay. Most crowns are completed in two visits, with a temporary in between.
A bridge replaces a missing tooth by anchoring a fake tooth (the 'pontic') to the two natural teeth on either side. It's a fixed solution — nothing comes out — and looks completely natural. Three- and four-unit bridges are typical.
Stadium Dental fees stay below the Alberta Dental Fee Guide on every crown and bridge unit, with insurance direct-billed and a written quote before treatment begins.

Crowns & Bridges · FAQ
Common questions about crowns & bridges at Stadium Dental in Edmonton.
Modern zirconia crowns commonly last 15 to 20+ years; layered porcelain crowns 10 to 15. Lifespan depends most on grinding habits, brushing thoroughness, and the original tooth's condition.
A veneer covers only the front of the tooth (cosmetic). A crown covers the entire tooth (structural). We pick the one that does the job with the minimum amount of natural-tooth removal.
